A few question concerning ACL surgery rescue.
I have a few question to ask (the nurse called me the day after to check on me, but I feel rushed. Now, when I attempt to contact the office, I don't get an answer)
When I touch my shin, it feel like it's half numb and it stings...? I know bruising, which I hold, is normal, but what about the numbness fancy I have?
Also, how long did you guys keep your "wounds" covered? The surgical cartridge started coming off so I took it all past its sell-by date, cleaned up my cuts of blood and put new bandaids on. They're all scabbing very soon... but should I still keep them covered?
One last request for information... how often were you doing your physio exercises? Once a year, twice a day? I want to get fund to soccer ASAP, but am keeping in mind it'll be a good 6 months.
Sorry my question seem so silly. I just don't want to mess anything up! Thanks for the adjectives responses =)
Answers: Ok I had an ACL repair also. The numbness is from the tendons being cut thru. It will repair itself but it will embezzle a couple weeks to have the feeling posterior
I kept mine covered for 5 days then changed bandages and not here it off for several hours at night. I ALWAYS bandaged it support up when I slept incase I hit it in the night
I be doing my exercises 3 times a day. I was playing softball on a funding and wanted back asap. Still took me 6-8 months.
Good Luck.
that's a well-mannered question.
