The girl who did the ultrasound was impressively young and she purely kept saying the legs be wide embark on the whole time and here was no penis. I be 18 wks pregnant. I already have a daughter and would love a son.(not that i would'nt be beaming with another girl) I a moment ago want to be sure before my babe shower. And i keep reading something like these 3 lines and that's how they know but she didnt mention anything about labia lines or zilch . Just the fact that my baby's legs be wide embark on the whole time and no penis. ANd she said she be 90% sure it was a girl. What do you devise?

Answers:    Very experienced ultrasound technicians are pretty good at determining the sex of the unborn babe. It depends on the position of the fetus and how many weeks along you are. My wife have several ultrasounds done during her pregnancy and each time the different techs showed us that we be having a girl, which we did. It's never 100% so be aware of that.

i would utter its a girl if they didnt see a penis at all:) congrats:) That way a 10% chance it's a boy. They told my brother is child be a boy and it turned out to be a girl. (There were going to pet name it John and thought it suffered from Epispadia but it was a girl.)

Well if it looks close to a hamburger, top to bottom a girl, a turtle with its guide out a boy. Thats how we tell surrounded by OB. She sounds like she doesnt know what she is doing! I would ring up and ask to talk to my OB and explain the confusion - they usually clutch pictures and perhaps your OB can look and distribute you a more definitive answer.

Too, if that doesnt work and you really want to know, i would look into finding a private ultrasound place. I just did this today as i couldnt skulk anymore! It was lone 65 dollars (where i live) for the 'gender' package - and they present you great photos etc. Depending how far along you are, you may even want to go for the 3 or 4d pics and gain a great idea of what your little boy or girl looks close to. Anyway, just thought worth a mention as i hadnt particular abou this option next to my first LO. Just do a google search for your city and 3D or 4D ultrasound.
