Answers: Ugh NO... Please don't win this shot!
TOO MANY women have thoroughly serious health issues because of the shot.
Google "depo provera lawsuit" and read up on the class conduct lawsuits against the makers of this drug.

I be on this and I would never EVER recommend this to anyone. I'm appalled its still being administered.
I wouldn't reccomend the injection, i have it its called depo provera and it give me bad acne and when i stopped it it took 20 months for my period to come back. Be deeply careful of it, oh and it thinned my hackle too!! It is progesterone in a shot and it prevents ovulation. You can be any age.The side affects can be irregular or no menstrual period, weight gain, headache and breast tenderness, or depression
Well i won't say aloud your to young to be concerned, and I contemplate it is a good point your concerned about protecting yourself and stopping a unwanted or needed pregnancy at your age. But no the shot is not close to the pill, the shot can stop your period adjectives together, and the side effects vary from severe mood swings to when and if you do grasp your period it could be any very bedside light or very, remarkably heavy and do alot of pain. There are alot of things to consider when choosing a form of birth control. Family history of guaranteed types of cancer, how regular are your periods, any strength issues like big blood pressure, do you smoke, things like that. Only your doctor can bring up to date you best what "you" should use for you. my gp suggested that I stay away from the depo prevera shot as it tends to pile on cargo, and disrupt your period (i put on weightiness too easy, and enjoy never had an confident or regular period).
Instead, I had the Implanon graft. It lasts for 3 years, and (for me) have had no side effects. Well, one side effect... it's be 8 months since my last time, and it was lighting and pain free!
I am very soon on my second implanon, as I love it. It's the size of a matchstick and goes into the inner upper arm. Your arm is sore for a few days after, but excluding that, it's virtually undetectable.
If you have adverse side effects (and near are some) you can have it removed, and everything go back to conventional in a business of days (well, depending on how long it was in).
Some population get acne, others bring uncontrollable adjectives the time pms, others get a irredeemable period. As I said, freshly get it removed and you'll be in motion back to middle-of-the-road.
There are other, hormone based iuds that ultimate longer. I'm a bit edgy about iuds so I go with the implanon. Go to your local women's clinic or family connections planning centre and check out your option. Professional advice on your personal situation is other the best way to shift.
DO NOT GET THE SHOT! Seriously, if you spend but 5 minutes researching it, you will find how dangerous it is. It cause infertility, obliterates your libido, cause cramping, spotting, breast pain, and more, and is even black-labelled! I be on the shot for about a year in the past I found all this stuff out, and I could own saved myself so much backache and trouble if I had in recent times done some research beforehand!
Before going on the shot, I was on the pill (Norinyl), and very soon I am back on the pill. It does require for a while more responsibility in that you enjoy to remember to take it around like time every day, but the pill have the least amount of side effects and is easiest to discontinue when you opt to have children. I wouldn't suggest anything else, since the probability of protection is decrease. The pill is the best bet for most people.
Again, please do not receive the shot, and let your friends know not to turn on it, too!
I was on depo for 4 years and it sucked! It is supposed to be given every 12 weeks but they bumped me down to 10 because the side effects coming down be unbearable. For 8 weeks I needed to kill everyone else, and the end 2 weeks I wanted to assassinate myself. Eventually, it got so discouraging my b/f told me to get rotten of it or get out. Plus, here is no point in mortal on it because it completely robs libido. COMPLETELY! There are serious long term side effects as capably. I think they put a black box requirement on it now maxim that it shouldn't be used for more than like 2 or 3 years at a time.
Go to google and do a go through. You will find tons of forums of women telling in the order of their awful experiences.
The pill is much milder. If you HAVE to go near something and are not comfortable with other non-hormonal option, the pill is probably your best bet.
