Are you referring to the actual length of the period? I guess exercise could relieve a little bit, but not much.
Do you niggardly make it end for a shorter time? If that's the case, running may assist, but not really. Low body fat can clear you lose your period, but if you're extremely close to losing it, your periods may be scant and infrequent. But that's not strong, as you put yourself up for risk of osteoporosis, infertility, and stress fractures.
