Outer cervix undo at 23 weeks gestation?
I'm 23 weeks pregnant and I went to the doctor because I be spotting and when they did their cevical check they said my outer cervix is 1cm dilated and the inner cervix is soft but still closed. They just told me to 'take it easy'. I lost my concluding baby at 23 weeks due to an infection so I'm really paranoid. Has anyone hear of this? Should I be concerned or is this kind of 'normal'?
Answers: I'm sorry you lost your ending baby. :(
It is not necessarily *abnormal* for your cervix to be slightly dilated, but it's not adjectives, either. Some women will experience immensely slow, gradual dilation over the course of many weeks, and will fall up being around 5 cm dilated beforehand they even begin labor. Each woman and respectively pregnancy is different. Take your doctors' advice, and clutch it easy but verbs to eat nutritious food, move your body so that you don't become watered down, and generally lug good assistance of yourself.
If this is just middle-of-the-road slow dilation, which is probably the most likely, be blissful! It means your labor will be shorter than usual!
