Why shouldn't women who are menstruating use a contraceptive sponge?
Answers: Well, menstruation involves the shedding of the lining of your uterus, and using a sponge would impede the process. I believe that keeping the blood from exiting could lead to infection. Certainly it wouldn't be sanitary. But apart from that, you don't call for to use a sponge while on your period, because you can't go and get pregnant during that time. Do a little reading on ovulation and the menstruation cycle to bring back a better idea of what is in truth going on in your body.
Cause it would be yucky. Does it articulate not to on the package? They must own a good common sense, like, perchance leaving it surrounded by the required time would leave the menstrual blood contained by there too long, allowing bacterial build up, which could head to toxic shock. Just a thought. ugh cause its horrible..if you were that sponge you wouldn't own to ask that question
I dream up that women are more susceptable to infection during their period. Leaving the sponge within (as recommended) would defintely allow bacteria to grow, and uplift an infection.
They still sell the sponge?
