How efficient is Mirena? or what's the most successful birth control out in that?

I had a child about 16 months ago, as soon as my infant was born I get on birth control pills but they've made gain way too much counterbalance and I'm loosing my hair a great deal. I HATE it! I need to stop taking pills and I know the patch don't work but I don't want to have another newborn at least not for a few years. What do I do?!?

Answers:    Mirena is enormously effective, but also have hormones similar to the birth control pill (although it has lessened side effects due to the channel the hormones are gotten into your body.) The copper iud (Paragard) has no hormones and is also massively effective. I mull over they are both around 99.6 effective. I own the paragard and I really love it.
i have mirena and i love it! the first few months be rough with cramping and spotting but presently it's evened out. i only enjoy a period every few months and bar that there own been no other side effects. i significantly recommend it. i also trust it completely as far as birth control goes. my gyn must too because right after i get mine she had one put contained by as well she said so it's distinctly doctor approved!! Mirena is 99.9% effective which I believe is the most impressive method out right now. Like near any and all hormone base bc methods, there are risk of have side effects like wt gain, tresses loss, skin changes, mood change, sex drive changes (increase or loss of it), irregular bleeding, etc.

I've have the Mirena since Nov. 07 and I love it. My menses have cease, and I have have zero side effects. I'm extremely ecstatic.
