Ladies please - Internal exams how discomfited for you?
Also if you have experience of an internal scan would you rate that too?
Answers: I'd vote around a 4-5 for both. It's more uncomfortable than painfull.
Ugh...on a size of one to ten I would put it as a 7 for the unconfomfortable part - not cramp really, just pressure, especially beside the bimanual when they check the ovaries. VERY uncomfortable! Also, I am usually concentrating so thorny on not farting in the doctor's obverse that I am clenching and THAT probably doesn't help any. When you say internal scan, do you scrounging vaginal ultrasound? with a wand? I did not find this as mortified as a manual pelvic exam, rating it roughly speaking a 3 or so. Hope this helps! yes ive have 2 to date and ill hold a lot more poking roughly inside in the months to come! i find it incredibly undignified but as im going to be have a baby any dignity i have will now be in motion out the window! i dont find internal scan painful at adjectives... it is just self-conscious. id utter around a 4. thats so far anyway...
i'd say around 7 or 8. too blooming tender for my liking! psyche say bout 7 and i find it really embarrising aswel!
I've have to have various both.
If you relax when having an internal it is much smaller quantity uncomfortable.
The same applies to an internal scan.
it's funny really but although my distress threshold is generally pretty lofty i cannot cope with internals - for me they are a 10. my graft lasted days and i coped next to pushing for 5.5 hours and was ok (well sympathetic of) and didnt have any affliction relief apart from gas&aair at times but internals i really cant cope near. even the midwives made a joke going on for it (in a nice way) to my husband.
i hate them and they put me sour having more babies more than the view of child birth. I'd say probably a 2, and I've have at least 10 regular exams. They're not fun, but the solely time I've had any headache is when I've had problem resembling an infection or ovarian cyst.
I've also had a vaginal ultrasound to check for cysts, and it be definitely smaller quantity invasive than the full exam.
They're a little shameful, but if you find a doctor you like (I importantly recommend female doctors or RNs) it's not doomed to failure at all. Trust me, no event what you do, they've seen worse!
I don't find them bumpy at all. Perhaps mortified but its for my health so that little bit of uncomfortablness is peace of mind that everything is ok probably around a 4 or 5, its not painful, only weird and self-conscious.
although that does depend on your doc/nurse and how gentle they are.
