Sit ups will strengthen your abdominal muscles, but won't directly flatten your stomach.

Everyone have a six-pack, it's only just masked contained by masses culture beneath the division of overweight that lies above their abs.

The sit-ups will give support to some, but In decree to really attain a flat stomach, you stipulation to work out more, as contained by cardio exercise. There's no approach to specifically pinpoint parts of the body where on earth you want to lose plump. You newly hold to lose it adjectives over.

I'd suggest running, swimming, biking, dance or some other cardio-intensive sport. There are machines at gyms (ellipticals and crosstrainers) that will specificially work as cardio exercise short putting strain on your joint.

But surrounded by the meantime, to situps. They can't hurt, after adjectives. Sit-ups, crunches, leg-lifts, and other exercises adjectives target different section of the abdominal muscles, so mix it up to get hold of the maximum benefit from your workout.

I've added a wikipedia article that address the use you won't flatten your stomach of late from crunches, and it also have links to specific abdominal exercises.

Good luck!
