Answers:    Like they said a clinic and they won't contact your parents. I be on it for 8 months and LOVED it but I hated the side effects. Very apposite and effective but it DOES motive weight gain and another problem beside it was vaginal dryness. I didn't approaching it. It was smaller amount satisifying having sex. Also, they recommend not staying on it for more than 2 years. Most clinics won't donate it to you after that time because it causes bone loss. I get on it when I was 17. This shot is the most adjectives for weight gain.
u can bring back it at planned parenthood in need your parents consent. in the state of tx its $24.00...i be on it for 2 yrs...n i stayed on my period the integral time i was on it. sum ppl dont hold their period n its still undamaging n healthy. You can step to a free clinic or a planned parenthood. I own been on Depo for 3 years and I own not have my time of year since I have be on it. It is great to not have a length. I think that is to say safe, my doctor told me that in that is nothing wrong next to not having your time of year. good luck.
You can step to a Planned Parenthood clinic. They will not notify your family; you can even own them note not to phone up your home phone or send you mailings. They will charge you $25 tax for the initial consultation, and again once a year after that. They will also recommend that you receive a gynecological exam, which costs up to about $80 (though some financial assistance may be available)-- but it's not required. The Depo itself costs around $30 for respectively shot, which lasts you 90 days.

Not everyone stops have periods while on the shot, though. You may stop, but you may also in recent times have more irregular period. When I was on Depo, I have no bleeding at all for the first 2 or 3 months. After that, though, I started spotting more and more heavily, and it get to the point that it was more inconvenient than newly having a everyday period because I be spotting at ALL times of the month and never knew when it would start or how creamy it would be. I'm not saying this will be the valise for you; just that everyone is different, and there's no means of access to know for sure what your reaction will be until you try.

Not have your period isn't unwholesome. There is nothing wrong surrounded by your uterus that really needs to be "cleaned out". However, in that are other disadvantages to the shot. For some people, it can own major side effects approaching nausea, breast tenderness, cargo gain and joint throbbing. It also increases the risk of osteoporosis, so it's important to help yourself to a calcium supplement while you're on it, and currently women are advised not to use the shot for more than two consecutive years. Finally, it can affect your fertility for some time after stopping, so if you eventually opt you want children it may make it difficult to conceive.

That said, the shot can still be a really well-mannered form of birth control with copious advantages. It's easy to conceal because there's no packaging to whip home. It's one of the cheapest forms available. It also doesn't require remembering to take a pill every sunshine or even change a patch every week, so there's no fate of forgetting and having your protection lapse.
